Flying History
• Private Pilot License at the age of 38.   After spending many hours in front cockpit of a biplane flown by my husband and being a nurse I decided it would be practical to know how to land the plane if he should become incapacitated like having a heart attack.
  
• Went on to get my commercial, instrument, multiengine and CFII ratings.
  
• Was a flight instructor for a couple of years. Built multiengine hours by being a nurse for an air ambulance company in exchange for right seat time in C-421.
  
• Got my ATP rating and worked for a commuter airline for 2 years.
  
• Returned to nursing when my work schedule and my husband's weren't compatible.
  
• Been with the Flying Circus Airshow since 1986 flying the opening formation, balloon busting, flour bombing, Fifi balloon shoot, dropping the parachutists and occasionally the final formation.


Moments of Fame
• In 1997 was one of the women portrayed in the book WOMEN AND FLIGHT published through National Air and Space Museum. Currently pictured in the touring exhibit of WOMEN AND FLIGHT for NASM.
